What do you think of suspenders/braces with a suit on men?

I'm a lawyer (29 years old) so I often wear a suit for work.

Recently, I've discovered suspenders/braces and I love them - they're much more comfortable than a belt, keep my trousers up more reliably and stop fabric bunching from my shirt/trousers.

However, I don't notice other younger men wearing them and I'm aware they might have a bit of a try-hard or even dorky factor about them, which makes me feel a little self-conscious.

Of course, I wear the button-on kind (not clip-on). I also wear them with a suit under a jacket - so they're not very visible - but the self-consciousness kicks in more when I want to take the jacket off.

My partner likes them, at least!

What do you think?

They look great!
They're OK
I don't like them
