What do you think about old money style?

Old money is a style that I love and embrace. I find it very stylish and elegant. What do you think?

I don’t hate it, but it’s probably a little conservative for my tastes. Like I feel like it ages you ten years, gives you an older vibe. These models look 25 going on 50, haha. I guess it just looks weird seeing YOUNG women dressed this way.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s well-put-together, but it just reminds me of those super-preppy women that would probably not be into me and I wouldn’t be into them. I’d maybe like to see livelier colors too, it’s very muted when it’s just white and beige. I like the one look with the tall boots the best.

The rest of them…. just my opinion, and maybe not even the desired effect in the first place…. but if I’m being honest, the look doesn’t carry a whole lot of sex appeal. Like I feel like if you went home with one of these gals, you’d just listen to classical music and read leather-bound books in “the library.” I feel like to match the look I’d need to wear an ascot, lmfao, or a tweed jacket with suede elbow patches😝

It’s funny, I live near some places that have a lot of “old money”, and the REAL “old money” uniform…. its hard to describe. It’s understated and non-descript, always involves a “dad hat”, I’ll see a lot of khaki shorts/fleece vest combos, boat shoes lmao, and the men look like they drive some tiny little European convertible from the 80s or earlier. And they LOVE taking walks. You ride through these mega-millions neighborhoods where the ELITE wealth lives…it’s all older couples just walking. Just walking, lmao.

Anyway…not really my style, and on second look I’m not really caring for the high-waist/loose legs pants in like half the pictures. Also not for me. But I’m just an old chunk of coal without a trust fund, don’t take my word on any of it as golden😅 They’d probably think I’m a peasant, lmfao

Trashy nouveau riche style is a lot funnier. I love seeing "new money" people embarrass themselves and suburban housewives trying to impress each other with over priced designer handbags, glasses, shoes, etc. They are universally oblivious to luxury branding and marketing which makes them trip over each other to load up their credit cards with over priced, tasteless crap to impress people that don't care about them.

It attracts the single (or not) wealthy.
That fits some woman. No judgement there.

You dress for what you want to attract but if you swing the bar too far you start to exclude others. Just like woman who dress trashy/sexy. It's always best to dress what makes you feel and look your best. You are what matters most.

Sometimes it's look classy and elegant but often it's very easy to exaggerate with additions like expensive purses and clunky jewelry, then it starts to look kitschy like Nouveau riche style
