How do you deal with people being rude/unkind to you about wearing glasses?

No, I cannot get contacts. No matter what frames I pick people will tell me they look bad and I look better without my glasses. My vision is such that I need to wear glasses full time, and I’m really not sure how I’m meant to deal with this bs. How do you do it?

Yeah you just ignore the fuckers and wear the glasses, people can be idiotic glasses never really look bad on anyone would need to be a very special case scenario and I doubt you are.

I mean the wrong frames may not be flattering the way well styled frames can be, but even if I pick out fashionable frames that compliment my features, it’s not possible to please everybody. But even if someone is wearing butt ugly frames, why would you tell them that? I do really think some people are just jerks.

Hmm yes maybe, dunno I really love how gasses outline the eyes of a person if she has beautiful eyes they look amazing, most people do. Some people have a very communist view on glasses bases on their parents view so that doesn't make a person ugly in any way

No. See this is the stuff I was talking about. You’ve never even seen me in my glasses and you already think I should pay thousands of dollars for a high risk operation so I won’t wear them. I dont wear glasses to impress other people, and I shouldn’t have to look a certain way to be allowed to see comfortably. I know you are trying to help, but telling me that the only option I have to correct my vision isn’t good enough is not helping the way you think it is

I don't remember the last time I saw someone getting picked on for wearing glasses. Maybe it happened in like first or second grade, but I really don't remember it.

Whoever is picking on you about your glasses, is probably focused on you for some other reason. Maybe they're attracted to you, and handling it badly.
