How do you shower?

I just had a shower and am conscious always about a message I learned as a child that washing head to toes was smaryest because the dirt will föow downward and thus leave a more thorough clean.

My order though seldom varies

Do you have a sequence of showering? What is it? How strict is it? Does a bath change the order?

I use a medicated shampoo that needs to stay on my hair for five minutes, so that's the first thing I do. Then, I use a nasal saline rinse in the shower every day and sometimes the saline will drip out a few minutes later, so that's next. Then I start washing moving from head to toe. When I'm finished, I use a comb on my hair while rinsing the shampoo. It is all very much a matter of routine and I could do it in my sleep.

I totally get the importance of a good shower routine! Starting from the top and working down makes a lot of sense with gravity doing its thing. Personally, I follow a similar order: head first, then face, then the rest. I always think it's important to rinse thoroughly. As for baths, they’re more of a soak and relax session, so it's not as structured compared to showers. Each person's routine has its charm, I think! 😊

Oddly, I still remember my mom telling me what to do. She was strictly a head to toe person. I've varied slightly; head, torso, legs, genitals, between the cheeks and finally feet. I don't want to risk bring athlete's foot fungus to what will be below my underwear where it may thrive.

i do hair, feet up to head. i usually take a layer of full skin off when it does happen. the stream seems to let that husk slide right off me.
