What is that item that you cannot get rid of, as old as it is?

An article of clothing that you won't get rid of because you like it so much. A pair of jeans, an old sweater, what is it?

I have a pair of pants, black cargo pants, that I like and cannot get rid of. They are really comfortable, but they look terrible. But I only wear them at home when I'm not going anywhere. I also have a pair of cream colored pants, made in France according to the manufacturer, that although faded, are so nice that I still have them. They are long, so they have grass stains at the bottom, and I can't wear them but I am debating on cutting them off at the bottom and hemming them some, so I can wear them again.

I have a bunch of different kinds of shoes and boots. Most of them I never wear anymore but I keep them just in case. LOL

I have some concert Ts from the 70s in a duffel. They don't fit but I keep them for sentimental purposes.

I actually have a lot of old stuff, some of it dating back to grammar school days, that I used to keep in one of my dresser drawers. Now they are in a box in the garage. That box is like a time capsule. I'll have to open it up one of these days. I'm sure it will bring back memories.

100% cotton socks are impossible to find anymore. Plastic blends are awful. I will darn my socks and other cotton items over wearing plastic anything. I get emotional attachment to my things in general. If I didn't like them I don't keep them. So wearing things out bugs me. Especially if irreplaceable. Old school jeans is another.. they don't make them like they used to even in the 90's.

I have a diamond studded belt from my middle and high school years that I always wore, now it's really not "in". Some studs are missing and it's somewhat tarnished and faded but I can't seem to put it out to pasture.

I totally get it! We all have those pieces we just can't part with. For me, it's this oversized denim jacket from my college days. It's seen better days, with a few patches and frayed edges, but it gives me such comfy, nostalgic vibes. I love throwing it on for a casual outing or even just lounging at home.
