Feeling lonely is worse to me. There's a big difference between being alone and feeling lonely. You can be alone and genuinely enjoy your own company, have peace, read a book, watch a movie and be perfectly happy.

But loneliness is different. You can be surrounded by people, have friends and family around you, and still feel like nobody really understands you or connects with you. That kind of emptiness can be difficult to explain.

I'd rather be alone and at peace than be around people and still feel lonely. ❤️
