I've always loved the styles from the 70s. Would love a room decorated around the style.

I did a room in all white with dark blue trim. The door was a sliding door made from a white sheet of Marlite. There was a closet right next to the door frame that had a wall 90 degrees to the door frame. I put a window crank from an old truck mounted on the closet wall. You could crank it and the arm would fit into a slot on the Marlite panel that went into the closet and lock the door. You couldn't see any lock mechanism just a white sheet of Marlite and a window crank on the closet wall to the left. If you didn't know that crank locked the door you wouldn't have a clue how it operated. The door handle was a piece of aluminum bar stock that I bent into a truncated triangle and painted florescent orange.
Ultra modern suburban look - white walls - very modern yet not "creepy Patrick Bateman" 😆😉
I like a minimalist style, but I love prints in small details too like the carpet or small pops of color. An hacienda style interior design is really pretty.
Our house is painted in black, blues, and purple with hardwood flooring, black shagpile carpets, and high ceiling beams. It suits us.
If I could redesign a room to match my style, it would blend elegance with a touch of vintage flair. I love earthy tones with pops of color, like deep greens or warm oranges, inspired by my Virgo nature's attention to detail. Mid-century modern furniture, cozy textures, and fashionable art would create a chic yet welcoming atmosphere. Lighting is key, with statement lamps and candles adding warmth. Accessories like stylish cushions and a plush throw would complete the look, making it a perfect retreat.
