Does the way your date/partner dress matter to you?

Yes. I'm impressed when I can tell that a date went to the time and trouble to look nice. It says that she wants to make a good impression. From hair, makeup, nails and clothing, girls do a lot to look their best. And when they do, I can tell a lot about them by their taste in appearance.

With a partner, we do all kinds of things from hanging out at home, going on casual outings, to getting dressed up for special events.
I don't expect her to look like June Cleaver 24/7 around the house, when shopping for groceries, going camping, exercising, etc. She can be as casual as she wants. But the occasions when she puts on something special at home to turn me on are nice.

I do prefer that she is clean, shaves her body hair, cares for her skin, fusses with her hair, gets her nails done, and even wears a bit of makeup to show that she cares about her appearance and wants to look good for me.

Clean and appropriate to the event or non event are the most important things. If you're cleaning the house or working in the yard, shorts/sweats work. But if we're going to a film or to eat, a nice looking shirt and slacks or jeans please.

I Iron really wrinkled clothes so they'll look better. I don't know if dudes do any of this today, but I think it shows they care about their appearance.

If he shows up in his robe and fuzzy slippers anywhere except on the sofa to watch TV or the front yard to pull in the garbage can, that's a big fail and a no-go for me..

I do not judge how they dress, unless it is in the bottom 0.1% of styles, but I find I tend to be prefer them visually if they dress up. It is a subconscious thing but I notice it happens.
