Self tans that dont look orange?

Question

I feel like every self tan i try either is super patchy or looks quite orange! Its really annoying trying to find one that works for my skin tone. I dont want duper dark just a light colour so I dont look like im dying from vampirism.

* I cannot tan naturally, I dont want skin cancer ☺️*

Honestly I don’t have enough experience to give a recommendation

But I should point out: what’s so wrong with being pale?
It can look very charming as well

You don’t have to go through a chemical shower to change your skin tone just to meet some standard

But if course if you like yourself better tanned then it’s another story

Also there are sunscreens that help tanning and protect from skin cancer.
If your worried about it (and you should be) you have options for natural tanning anyway

If you are outside in the sun every day and wear  light  cotton clothing, you will still get a tanned skin and look way more natural than with a self-tanner. I could always tell when my colleague tried self-tanner, because her ears, eye sockets and hairlines looked uneven.

Im lightly tanned from being in the sun with my kiddos each day, and I’d say your leg looks the same as mine - not orange at all but also not pale. Just spend more time in the sun and make sure to lather yourself in sunscreen. Sunscreen stops you getting burnt but won’t stop you from tanning. And our kiwi sun is stronger than it is in most other places.

I think it's hilarious that you blocked your foot 😂😂😂 Good call! Anyway, my wife is extremely light complected. It's funny, when she gets her picture taken and a flash is used, she literally disappears. She can't get a tan, she only turns red. I don't have any answers for you, just thought I'd let you know someone else knows what it's like to be very pale...

I’ve used this before. It’s not super expensive, it doesn’t fade and leave splotchy spots and dries fairly quick. They’ve got a good range of shades.

I get always orange skin from self tanner. Don't use them. 3-4 visits in solarium while winter time won't kill me.

Have it done at a high-end salon and not some strip mall tanning shop. They will know to do it gradually over time so it looks natural. It will cost a lot more, but it will look perfect.
