I wear baseball cap sometimes and a knitted had in the winter. On very cold days or when I am snowblowing my driveway I wear one of these.

Almost never. Maybe at an outdoor event during daytime. Maybe last year I wore one once when I took my nephew to the zoo.

I usually wear a baseball cap when I'm out in the sun. It shades my eyes, which are sensitive to light, and also keeps my head cool. I have a small collection of caps from places I've visited.
