Makeup is to hide flaws. Only unattractive low quality women need to wear makeup. Anyone wearing makeup that thinks they are attractive are delusional and lying to themselves and others.

Most are so dumb that they rate themselves 9s and 10s, yet they wear makeup because they are naturally ugly.

That depends on who you want to attract. You are young and likely don't need much if any. In my experience, the really intelligent guys prefer a more natural look most of the time. My wife is 20 years older than you and wears very little -- lipstick, never eye makeup -- and looks great.

I think the obvious answer is both. I've met women who used it to hide scars and marks and I've met others who use it cause they like it.

I do appreciate and admire a woman's natural beauty. That being said I have seen some women with makeup that looked absolutely stunning. You can change your entire aesthetic and vibe with a few strokes of a brush.

I go for a natural look, but it feels like it takes a long time and a lot of makeup because I’m trying to hide imperfections and enhance whatever I do have. I don’t like the heavy fake look though.

i won't lie that it helps some. but if she isn't naturally pretty with it off then she's not really beautiful. if hiding the entire face/imperfection is the goal then yes. i've seen some very pretty girls turn hideous without it.
