From what I've smelled, some do but not all of them. My mother used to complain our next door neighbour back in the early `70's, who was pretty obese and so was her hubby. Very nice people and I never noticed any smell but, mom said Carol smelled bad and tried to cover it up by drowning herself in perfume.
10 years later, my first girlfriend was a junior plenty but, she didn't smell at all.

Usually when there is more skin there is more body odor, unless you just smell like a sack of onions in the summer sun. I’m kind of fat and would have to work hard for a couple days to start stinking

Extra skin folds can trap moisture, so someone with more body fat might need to be a bit more careful with drying off, breathable clothes, and regular washing. But plenty of slim people smell strong too. Good hygiene and clean clothes are the real game changers.

They generally sweat more. Fat insulates so you need more sweat to cool. Body odor has a lot more to do with hygiene though.
