Is it possible for a girl to DRESS slutty?

Question

There has been a lot of debate on here regarding whether it's possible for a girl to dress slutty. Some people say yes it's possible, others' say you can't dress slutty, you can only act slutty. So, with it being summer time now and girls dressing less I wanna ask you opinions as to whether it is possible for a girl to dress slutty.

Also, if a girl can dress slutty, what kind of clothes/outfits would be considered slutty?

No, I don't believe a woman can dress slutty nor do I personally believe a woman can 'act' slutty(besides knowing homewreckers).

I think there is definitely a more classy and appropriate way to show less skin. My rules are 1) If I bend over and anything can be seen, the dress and shorts are too short, 2) if I show cleavage and a little arm, I'm covering my legs up but if I'm showing my legs, I'm not showing cleavage or much arm 3) I don't show cleavage much to begin with and 4) I wear clothing that fits properly and hugs my curves

My best friend also wears the AE shorties shorts. She has a big butt and her legs are less toned but my legs are more toned with a smaller butt, and we tend to get ugly looks from girls but our guy friends compliment my legs and her butt(cause they always joke about it). She dresses up her outfit with a cute shirt but I just wear a t-shirt or whatever. So I'm assuming to girls, it appears slutty, but what doesn't? lol I mean, we're in Tx and the heat can get terrible -_-

I might hate my legs but sometimes I don't hate my legs enough to punish myself by melting

I mean, girls nowadays call anything and everything slutty, especially if it's something they can't rock or if the girl looks better than them.

the term slutty now has a different meaning than it originally had. before it was about actions and now its how one looks. I personally think its used to stereotype girls. in high school I used to get called a slut a lot simply because I wore skirts, dresses and shorts (I have a rule of making sure I'm at least 50% covered up but I still was called a slut). best part was that I'm a virgin and I didn't have my first kiss until I was 18. so technically I'm not a slut but people assumed it because of how I dressed. if there's a girl that looks like she's comfortable with wearing certain clothing, they assume she's comfortable with being naked in front of complete strangers. but I know girls who wear nothing but sweatshirts and jeans and they sleep around.

the clothing that's considered slutty varies from person to person. some people find short shorts to be slutty while others think its no big deal if your cleavage is showing. personally, so long as a girl's private parts (sorry for the immature term, but I couldn't think of anything else) aren't showing and her underwear stays under her clothing, I won't find it to be slutty.

oh yes, a girl can definitely dress slutty. if a bath towel covers more than what she is wearing then its a good sign that she's trying to draw attention to herself. your second sign is if girls will look at her and scoff and talk among themselves quietly. something like "oh my god, what does she think she is doing?"  or "look, that's funny" ha ha just some things I overheard girls saying when I saw some girl at the mall dressed like a referee stripper.

this is total bullsh*t, girls can MOST DEFINATELY dress slutty. clothing, especially in America, says everything about you, if a girl dress like this (    she is dressing slutty. It pisses me off when I see girls dressed like this at a party then try to act all classy and get mad when some guy tries some move on her. you dress like a slut, guys (and girls) are going to treat you accordingly.

In my head slutty, is showing way to much clevage, booty shorts, not covering everything.  Shorts and a tank top, sure that's fine.  Booty shorts, half shirt (where your stomach hangs out) that's slutty, but some clothes on.  A bikini top with shorts is acceptable as long as uve just been swimming or something you know.  What is also slutty is when girls where a bikini top and bottom but also have shorts on but leave their jeans unbutton and unzipped, that's uncalled for and is just screaming F*** ME PLEASE. lol that's my story and I'm sticking to it :)

I can honestly say girls can definitely do both!  If a girl dresses slutty, they probably wear high heels, wearing a thong and it is seeable, strapless tops, shotie shorts (when you can see their butts), the boobs stick out (more than 45% of it shows), pulls out their phone out of their bra right in front of you, wears make- up just to impress some one, see through tops, a colorful bra with a plain shirt, and their bras seen through the back of the shirt!  I have seen plenty through my middle - high school experience!

Clothes which leave nothing to the imagination and show quite a lot of skin. I would say a short skirt with a tiny crop shop which looks more like a bra than a crop top would make a girl look slutty. It's not only the clothes though, it's the rest of the look. Some women could pull of that look I just described and make it look neat and sophisticated because they have decent hair and make-up. Slutty girls usually wear next to nothing, have huge biffy hair or fake hair extensions and a ton of make-up, usually including fake eyelashes and that could be their look for 'the day'! They look fake and messy which is not what you would call a respectable and sophisticated woman.

I think you can dress slutty and I've put on clothes and felt like I looked like an easy girl so I changed. It is in the clothes as well as the women.

To me dressing/ looking slutty and being/ acting like a slut are two different things. Being a slut is sleeping around and not being particularly private about it, it usually goes with a lot of drinking and partying. Where as dressing/ looking like a slut is when a girl tries to be too sexual, she will wear overly revealing clothes (for example booty shorts, high heels and a shirt that shows a lot of boob), wear a bit too much make up, when they do things they act like they are practically having an orgasm, or just act really horny all the time like pull f*** me faces at guys and bend over without bending their knees etc.. Always curvier girls, not fat or anything but girls with bigger boobs/ asses.

well, face it, it seems like most guys like the "slutty"-look, so it's really hard for most girls not to give in to the style in hopes of seducing some boy.

i believe what you wear is in part a reflection of your personality, so in turn dressing slutty for a prolonged period of time will ultimately influence your attitude and actions.

therefore, you can dress AND act slutty.

i've seen a lot of instances, too, where the girl seems quite wholesome on the outside, but her personality is "slutty".

Of course. To me slutty is the action but a girl can look like someone who would do the action. Not that they are a slut but they look somewhere along the lines of a slut. I don't see how slutty is more offensive than any other insult but girls sure do get bent out of shape over it more than any other word.
