Do you believe that a 'spark' or 'chemistry' can be one sided?

When someone feels a chemistry between them and another person, can it really ever be one sided, or is it really always reciprocated (simple logic would dictate that it is always reciprocated because of the nature of chemistry (or the 'spark' if you will))?

Of course, someone can be an attention whore and flirt with everyone in sight (and this way, it might not be reciprocated, but they DO imitate / emit chemistry, hence the chemistry in this case is faked on one end, but, externally still exists).

There's a difference between a spark and liking someone...

Though largely perceived that chemistry is always two sided, spark certainly can be one sided :) - I believe it is so because when it's chemistry it's almost instantaneous and both notice it instantly while reciprocating to each other.

The spark however, as I choose to describe it may well remain one sided i. e. the other person well may not even realize it or not necessarily reciprocate the same way after one or no experience with each other on any level :)

I think I'm myself experiencing one such situation these days lol

Very well explained... so they're different concepts. I always saw them as the same... I guess a spark is immediate and short lasting, while chemistry is long lasting.

A spark can last forever too :) - let's not confuse a spark as something that's trivial & short life cause it's small :) A spark can well be one sided - anything one sided is self motivated while chemistry is generally a 2 way street :) Chemistry again begins with a spark but we perceive it as chemistry when it's on both sides :)

To me its a like a right if passage. I personally feel we must all suffer through one or more times of this. It sucks, but we learn from it.
