have you ever felt this way? ok yes, this sounds shallow and unfair. personally i start to think im pretty, when handsome guys stare at me, or approach.
when average or ugly (from my point of view) guys start to be flirt with me i feel weird and think im ugly as them.

tell me if you did and how did you act.
also guys you can write your opinion too, do you feel smth similar with ugly girls?

Getting offended by someone making an effort to approach you is shallow but understandable. You see you are a female which is basically under your primitive instinct on way of looking a potential partner. You tend to segregate the attractive ones to ugly ones, so when someone ugly attempts to flirt with you, your mind automatically focuses on the physical appearance and leave out any other factors. You get offended because this kind of a 'blow' to your self-image.
You have an unrealistic view of 'I feel pretty because a handsome guy stares at me' and 'I feel weird and ugly when some average or ugly stares or flirt''. This is flawed because a physical beauty is admired both by handsome and ugly guys... This leaves me to think that it is about your persona. Notice how it is 'all about you', you somehow have some sort of 'physical beauty superiority' over ugly ones that only in your 'level' or 'league' can flirt with you. So when a handsome guy flirts/stare with you, this boosts your ego and makes you feel good. When an ugly guy does it, you feel offended by something nothing to be offended about because it's a blow to your self-image or your ego.

You have ego issues if you think just because an ugly guy flirts with you then that means you're less attractive.
You should be grateful that any guy is sweet and brave enough to put himself in a vulnerable position just to give you attention. Its not a reflection of anything about you. If you aren't attracted to him then politely decline his advances.

If an ugly girl flirts with me, I am just as if not more flattered that she shows me attention. And I am more inclined to think she is showing more bravery than some pretty girl who feels entitled to a man.

I'm not gonna lie I totally understand what you mean! Yeah I can't help but feel like why won't any guy I find good-looking try and talk to me. It's weird because I notice that the guys that HAVE NO GAME WHATSOEVER have even more of a sense of entitlement to approach you, and think highly of themselves than some attractive guys. I'M BY NO MEANS GENERALIZING THOUGH, it's just something i've personally noticed and it's annoying, but I also kind of feel bad for them at the same time and I feel SUPER AWKWARD because I just want to run away. Again I'm not generalizing because there are some guys who are average looking and are perfectly nice, and don't care to flirt or try and get you into bed... man I feel awkward just talking about this because I'm just thinking of all the times this has happened lol

No I'm amused. I find it funny how in my experience ugly guys tend to be in my opinion:
- egoistical (thinking they have oh so amazing personalities)

- hypocritical (approaching gals based on looks yet crying/whining when a gal rejects them based on looks)

- delusional (feeling they should receive gratitude and be seen as brave for their uninvited unwanted approach done solely for their own interest)

I generally reject them in a humiliating or emasculating way depending on how amusing I find them.

If you're pretty, any man will come up to you, you shouldn't be offended. It's not easy to approach a person, so try to be a little more understanding. I personally would feel flattered if any man approached me, it would make my day. But it doesn't happy to me often.

In a way yes, I'd feel I deserved a more attractive girl. However, I wouldn't feel offended. I'd probably feel flattered, embarrassed (in a good way), and would admire her for her courage. Making the first move is usually a expected of a guy. Any guy would attest that it isn't easy. So its10x more sexy when a woman does it. Takes the pressure of us.

I'd like to think I'd give her at least a first date. Maybe something would come of it, maybe not.

To be honest, I don't. I don't care if the guy is cute or ugly, because a guy flirting with me is like a once in a lifetime thing. I'm not pretty at all, and because of that I tend to look for personality more. I mean if a cute guy flirt with me of course I'll be happy but if it's a ugly guy who cares? I'm still happy anyways. While there may be many girls that I don't find attractive, I guess I only think a girl is really ugly if I don'l like her personality. Such a girl has never approached me, and if one did I don't think it would affect my self-confidence. I would try to get rid of her quickly but politely.

I personally feel flattered. If I captured the attention of someone, it makes me think highly of myself. No, I won't try to pursue anything if he's not compatible with me but honestly people miss out on some really sweet guys solely based on looks. Physical attraction is key, but if there is a way to look over it, it's not a bad idea. If there's not a way to look over it, that's okay too. You want what you want.

Obviously as a girl I get flattered when any hits on me. I mean if they think I'm attractive enough to approach me then awesome right? The thing is when a hot guy hits on me I flirt back. But when an ugly guy hits on me.. I try to turn them down in a nice way. But It confuses me like that they think they have a chance with me? I suspect that the way you feel is one of the reasons that unattractive guys are so readily labeled as creepy, regardless of their actions.

I'm the kind of guy who doesn't get hit on at all. Any girl showing interest in me would make me feel pretty good. For that matter, if a really attractive girl hit on me, I would probably assume that I'm being played for a fool.

I feel insulted because ugly people are generally desperate. It's not just an ugly guy thing, but ugly women as well. I think that an ugly person wouldn't dare approach someone they find hot. They'd be too worried about being shot down. They aren't too stupid. They know who is or isn't in their league. No this is not shallow at all. Any kind of relationship starts with physical attraction. If the only kind of people who flirt with you are ugly, then that does speak to how physically appealing you are. Similarly, if really hot people flirt with you all the time, that shows you are in turn physically attractive.

Obviously this is only the starting point of a relationship and doesn't factor in personality, circumstances, etc.

If you feel ugly just because an "ugly" guy approaches you, maybe you just don't get hit on enough or at all by "hot" guys which might mean you're not as attractive as you think if this is all true that is. I don't think a beautiful female will be offended by an ugly guy if she gets a fair amount of attention from "hot" guys (which confirms she's attractive) too. Unless she just thinks they're beneath her.
