Do guys openly stare at ugly girls?

i am ugly and I know it. I know what pretty girls look like, and I'm not one of them. people call me ugly every day. I'm not abnormally ugly or so ugly it would make you puke, but just a normal ugly girl who was unlucky in the genetics department.

guys openly stare at me. I see it all the time. I look back at them and then they avert their eyes and pretend they weren't staring. I notice them doing this to pretty and hot girls all the time, but why would they stare at an ugly girl in the same manner?

to the guys who say maybe they don't think I'm ugly, well how come I get called ugly by multiple people every day, strangers and people I know, in real life and online, but dozens upon dozens of guys stare at me every day? if I'm as ugly as everyone says then that many guys can't think I'm attractive.

Because not only do guys like to look at 'attractive' women, some also like to gawk at the less attractive to get a rise out of you-or they can't believe what they're seeing. If I see someone who I think isn't attractive, I don't stare. As has already been pointed out, don't believe everything you hear.

There's no reason to think people looking at you aren't attracted. I'm sure some will be.

Not everyone is attracted to the "traditionally" attractive traits. I like plain women, nerdy/geeky looking women, overweight women - the barbie doll look doesn't appeal to me at all.

Don't believe everything you hear. Guys will make fun of girls just because they're basically assholes (I was one when I was younger and less confident). As for online, you can't believe the opinions of people online :)

Even if you are considered homely by most - there will be people who disagree. It's a big world and there's room for lots of opinions about what's hot and what's not.

However, I do tend to be like, "wait, what" and glance more often there, but I wouldn't obviously stare.

yea like johnbe is sayin don't believe everythin you hear...some of those people who call you that could just be bitter about some things and anyway yea there are lot of different people with different tastes and views...just keep your head up and try and be more confident
