If you have a crush on someone, should you pursue that person?

Growing up, we've all had a lot of crushes. Even as adults, we continue to develop feelings of attraction towards the people we see in our daily lives. But What I want to know is, is it alright to pursue your crushes and to want to develop a deeper relationship with them?

This is personal to me because I have a crush on someone on my course at college, and growing up I've had so many just like that crush where I've not said anything and nothing has come from those crushes... I quickly realised that crushes don't last, and that it's easy to move on from people you never had a relationship with. But I'm in college and I've never dated a boy, let alone kiss one in my entire life! And I wonder if now is the time to try and make 'advances' at my crush, or at least, try to get him to notice me and one day to hopefully have a conversation... lol.

Im currently chasing after dis one Muslim cutie in ma college class but everytime i try, i always end up in failure. I see her walking walking away.. shoulda put it up but im dumb. I hate myself for it. ill nvr be kool unless im with her :/

Not really, i juz asked her if she wanted to be friends but she said no. Thats Muslim cuties for u. After dat i went to talk to her without bringing the friend subject and it seems to be fine. I think ma friend subject scared her off lol. she's really shy and only speak one word to meh so.. but i still haven't give up yet. Im juz afraid to approached her thats why i haven't talked to her for awhile now but i always take a glance at a distance ;3

I've persued people I've had crushes on so far and its been the most fucking stupid thing I've ever done so far. i feelt brave when i asked them out and stuff. and then shit happend and now when i look back on it i just fucking regreat it. its made me preatty mutch lose any intrest in finding an partner.

because the first guy i liked fucked me and then though i was stalking him after i told him i liked him and then stopped talking with me. (he used to be a close male friend of mine. but not anymore.) then the second guy i was dating told me he had a girlfriend and a kid when we had dated for a while. the third guy told me he had a girlfriend after we also had dated for a while.
