What does it mean when a guy calls a girl "cool"?

A guy I'm interested in told a friend of mine (in reference to me): "I like her. She's cool."

I'm not sure what he means by "like" but I asked some people that know me what they think would make me seem cool to a guy, and this is what they said:

I'm a good, honest person. I don't put up with stupid things or stupid people, and I don't try to hide who I am, act fake, or act how I think others want me to act. I'm not embarrassed to show the real me. And that's apparently really important to guys.

Is this true? Is this really that important to guys, to the point where it would attract them to a girl? What other things like this attract you to girls?

Also, how could I impress this guy more so that he'll ask me out? If I make a move, I'll be really embarrassed, and look dumb, because he's 2 grades behind me. Any ideas? I'd rather avoid a dance date, because I don't like dances... they play terrible music. Haha. I want to be creative. Please help!

In case anyone else wants to tell me to make a move, I already have, and I want him to make one now. I asked him to a dance, but he already had a date. He said he was sorry and would be happy to hang out. I don't know if he meant as friends or as a date.

He probably didn't want to sound TOO keen on you for the reason of making you more intersted and seem less needy. Not that I think he is necessarily trying to play hard to get or anything but just didn't want to say something "yeah she's hot I like her loads I really want to go out with her" out of fear of making him look desperate and you losing interest.

Every guy is different but I think a lot of guys WOULD be attracted to a girl like that, I know I would, and I'm sure saying you are "cool" is generally saying he is interested. Don't try too hard to impress him because this might put him off, but just talk to him, be friendly and flirty with him and see what happens.

If he told my friend that he thinks of me this way, but never says stuff like that to me, and is always picking on me, what does that mean? He always brings up subjects he knows make me mad. Basically, he knows where my buttons are and how to push them. Does this mean he's interested in dating me? I like him, but I don't know what to do. I already made a move, and I want to know how to get him to make a move now.
