So the other day I worked up the confidence to message my crush on Facebook. So I just said casually "hey what's up?" And he replied "just chillin, 😊 hby?" And then later we were talking about despicable me and he said "oh yeah that's a good one 😊" so I replied "yeah it's one of my faves 😊" and he didn't respond to that but I just assumed he didn't because they're wasn't really anything to respond to but I don't really know if the blushing emoji is flirting or not. So is the 😊 (blushing emoji) flirty or what?

😊 is just more accurate to how someone really smiles than the dead eyes in the other one. But that's just my personal preference lol.

She may be flirting, but it could just be that she's flattered. Contrary to the recent feminist belief that no woman can accept compliments without degrading themselves, there are plenty of women who will graciously accept compliments and still not really like you in that way. I'm not saying you have no chance with her, especially if the conversation continued and she kept inputting responses. I can't speak for my whole gender, but I can tell you that when I was single, I didn't bother keeping conversations going with guys I didn't like.
