I've been messaging this guy who I've known for AGES. He started the conversation, and answers decently, but since he never adds anything... I always end up being the one asking all the questions. What's up with this? Am I just being pushy trying to keep it from dying completely, or... what?

For the record, it's over e-mail... the same thing happens when we text, though. He's not replying in an unfriendly way, but... he just sort of... kills it...?

The best thing to do is leave it for a while. Sometime people don't reply to emails or text, if they are busy, or sort of lost interest.

How about when he was the last to reply? Should I just bring up a new topic, or let it stop where he left it?

Hey sos I have not been on here for along time. If he has been the las to reply, there is no harm in talking about other things, just like general chit chat. See how he replys, you will get a idea how much he wants to communicate. Good luck!
