This guy acts like he likes me, then ignores me and I like him?

this guy in class talks to me and tells me stuff and we flirted a little but when I saw him in the hall I looked at him and I was like hey! but he just completely ignored me. but then sometimes when I'm talking to him and like some other girl that's a friend of mine he usually looks right at me and kinda ignores the other girl. But I also feel like he doesn't wanna talk to me or like me because I don't dress like he does. example: he dresses in like hollister shirts everyday while I barely shop there and other stores like that.

i also gave him this funny ad from a newspaper and he really liked it and my friend told me he told some other people about it in his class so I don't know I'm confused and I probably confused you too :/

I think he does like you. How does he flirt? Maybe when he ignored you, he had something else on his mind--unless he does it off and on all the time, then he's probably just playing games. If a guy likes you, he likes you--he probably doesn't care too much about the way you dress, unless he mentioned it, looked at you funny, or otherwise made some kind of issue out of it. He probably passed around the news clipping because he thought it was cool and funny.

Why don't you just ask him out (e.g., to meet up outside of school sometime to do something interesting)?

Oh, well unless you dressed in a weird/unusual way that day, I don't see why he'd act different than any other day. I've seen people who know me, who look like they're looking me in the eye, totally ignore me, only to find out later they were so deep in thought/confused about things that they didn't see me at all. If he keeps ignoring you, then his flirting is probably just a game and he's not worth your time. Another possibility is shyness. Just try to talk to him.
