Acts like he likes me but says he likes someone else?

Okay.. Me and this guy are really close friends and he act like he likes me. Lemme tell you what he does... Flirts, is playful, smiles at me a certain way, gives me major eye contact, hangs around me a lot, tells his friends things about me (his friends have been extra nice to me recently), comes up to me just to talk about something I sent him or something we have in common, goes away from his friends just to hang out with me, sits/stands by me, stares at me. But he says he likes someone else.. He told that to a mutual guy friend and to me.. Why does he act like he likes me then?

At your age flirting is fun, it’s new and a lot of people do it without really considering what it means to the person they’re flirting with. It’s important to understand that just Bc he’s flirted, it doesn’t mean he’s necessarily into you. He could just enjoy the attention you give. Aside from that, the rest of his actions just seem like he’s fond of you, as a friend. I’m sure that’s not what you wanna hear but the only way to have a clear answer of what he wants is to just be brave and ask.

Sometimes there is a guy like that. It does not necessarily mean he is into you. He likes to flirt, maybe without the intention to make you fall for him. My advice, just enjoy his company without expecting anything much from him.
