All this time, and my crush has no idea I like him!?!

I was chatting with my crush and asking on behalf of my friend about a problem she has with a guy she's seeing. I didn't mention any names, I posed it as a hypothetical question -- "If you were a girl with a guy who .. etc"

Then he asks me after, if I'M the girl that I'm asking help about!

For the year that I've been friends with him, I thought we both did some flirting and I thought he knew that I liked him... and we've both discussed the thoughts of dating each other...

Why would he have no idea that I've liked him all this time? Am I just not "out-there" enough? I've never admitted that I had feelings for him though, but I thought our other interactions were enough hints for him... :(

What should I do? We're going out next week for him to teach me how to swim (ha ha I know, sad.. I barely know how to float.. >.<)

On top of that, even if he picks up on your "hints" and "secret codes", the chances are he's been burned before by assuming a girl had feelings for him by her actions; but she was "just being friendly." From that point on, most men will spend a significant amount of energy avoiding rejection like that, especially if they really developed feelings for the girl who rejected them.

But if you were just up-front with him about it, that would make everyone involved happy.

i definitely agree with the other two comments.I know its hard to take that step but you gotta let him know how you feel. Even if it doesn't work out how you want it to at least you can know for sure and then move on with your life.Me being a guy I see nothing wrong with a girl being bold.its quite attractive actually.so run along now, go do it, let him know :)

Ya. Just speak the truth. Don't try to make it a secret code or message. Just flat out tell him. I know it's a little more akwerd. But that's life. Just do it. Be brave. Be bold. And live.

Ps. He probably allready knows that you like him. He's just waiting for you.
