What does my professor think of me?

So I have a crush on my professor who is twice my age. I'm a quiet student but choose to sit in the front in order to pay attention better to the lecture. Normally I never speak with my professors unless I have to. Anyway, because I sit in the front and my professor enjoys making conversation with his students, I was able to talk to him. He is very friendly and I have spoken to him a few times before class starts. Often he would smile at me and says hello every time I enter in the class. As the weeks went by, my crush on him only grew bigger. As a result of this, sometimes after class I make up a question so I can speak to him. We would often get of topic and sometimes I make it evident that I don't want to leave. I would ask him a lot of questions about himself, and point things out like his haircut and told him it looks nice or compliment him and said he looked sharp in his suit. Also, I always stare at him when he is lecturing and im sure he notices because he would often meet my gaze. However recently he has been ignoring me. He doesn't walk by my table anymore to greet me at the beginning of class or to make conversation. He hardly ever meets my gaze now when he lectures. But when I decide to ask him something after class, he is friendly as ever. This is why I have a feeling that he knows I like him in a romantic way or something. So today I came up with a plan to not stare at him anymore and to ignore him myself so I can get over these feelings for numerous of reasons. Unfortunately I failed and was staring at him again mid lecture. He didn't make much eye contact with me today either, so I thought he wouldn't even notice that I decided to ignore him. But he noticed something was wrong. At the end of class, he met my gaze and smiled and asked, "Are you okay?". I freaked out and just nodded quickly with a fake smile. He seemed satisfied with my answer, nodded and walked away. What does he think of me? Does he know?

I know he doesn't like me in that way but I was wondering if he knows that I like him?
