Why does he like her and not me?

OK so me and this guy are like best friends (kinda) and we have been talking and I put a picture on Facebook and he called me pretty! so I got my friend to ask him if he liked me and if he really thought I was pretty. so she text him and he says its all a joke! so I got really mad and I was talking 2 him the other day and his status was "got her back so lay off ladies" (hes a player kinda) so I asked him and he got a new girl friend that I know and btw she dresses like a 3yr old and is kinda flat chested(no offense) lol and I don't know y he likes her...i have asked him a million times and he just says I don't know or something like that so like y does he like her and not me?
