Trending & News First thing, you should watch [REC]. Yes, it's in Spanish, but it is the original movie and Quarantine is the American remake. Both movies are pretty much the same, except for the orgin of the virus. In Quarantine, the guy that had the virus was part of some doomsday cult. I believe that he stole it from the CDC. It was one of those viruses that if it ever got out the whole would would be infected in days. I'm going to spoil the Spanish ending because both movies are exactly the same and came out not even within a year of each other. There really isn't a reason to watch it over again in Spanish. But if you want to watch it, don't continue reading. In the Spanish version, the virus has to do with the Vatican and demonic posession. The Vatican believed that they found the viurs that causes posession. They send a priest to Portugal where a girl is infected to figure it out, but the virus couldn't be controled so her brings her to his apartment in Madrid. He was going to take her back to the Vatican, but the virus was too strong and I think that he becomes infected as well.
There is also a sequel that takes place right after the reporter is dragged away. They send in a heavily armed team along with someone from the Vatican to extract the virus. If REC and Quarantine is like Alien, then REC 2 is like Aliens. The American version should be out sometime this year or next year.
Wow, way to make my answer pointless, great answer btw. I only knew it was an American version, not that there was extra content. =(
There wasn't extra content, I had to pause the movie to read the newspaper clippings that and listen to everything that was on the tape recorder. Pause the movie when they're looking around the apartment and read the newspaper clippings. And in my opinion, even though the movies are the same scene by scene, watch the Spanish one for the hell of it. I know I said there really isn't a reason, but now that I remember I liked the Spanish one better.
What's to know? Obviously wasn't rabies had to have mutated, I mean the black plague was natural... but it was really severe, who's to say it started that way and didn't mutate from something?
And monkey lady? Directors thought it would be funny to randomly throw her in there? but seriously, I think some of the stuff in that movie you just had to kind of guess at or make up your own opinion on, kind of like Donnie Darko minus the director's cut version.
