OK so I know what it literally means but what does it mean when you guys tell a girl "will you marry me"? in a friendly/flirty way, I have this guy friend and he flirts around sometimes and recently he's been using this question a lot, obviously we haven't dated or anything so this question coming from him sometimes kinda feels weird, and so I just brush it off as a joke or say something stupid to distract the question away from him, so I can't really interpret this question so I need you guys to help, is it just harmless flirting like he admires me or something or just indirectly asking me out
