What makes a girl approachable?

Question

I know I'm only 17, so I got plenty of time and it's not really a priority lol, but I never get approached by guys, and I've been told I look friendly, and am usually smiling and bubbly, so I wonder what I'm doing wrong?

Guys, what factors and types of behaviour really make a girl approachable to you?
But not only what makes her approachable, what makes you actually approach her?
Girls, what factors and types of behaviour have you found to work, if any?

Being drunk helps a lot.

Mostly being drunk. Otherwise I usually don't approach so much, I tend to strike up conversations with girls I kind of run into more and make sure to get their number if the conversation goes well. That or if it's a social party/event of some sort, I will approach everyone in that context and introduce myself.

I'm thinking for guys who cold approach girls sober though (something I never did), you're kind of good-looking so that might put you at a disadvantage. The guys are going to be weighing their odds of you responding really well to them.

So one of the things I'm thinking might help in your case is kind of act retarded, like you're so fascinated by everything and think everything is so great -- like a happy-go-lucky ditsy girl who bumps into things a lot and asks people for directions to places that you're standing right in front of. Maybe it would help to wear glasses too.

Maybe guy's assume by you being cute that your already taken. Also guys can be very shy as well.

People approach me all the time. They say I give off a good friendly vibe. Lol It's the way how others see you.

I hope guys start approaching you. You are cute. So I see no reason for guy's not to appraoch you.

I don't think you're doing anything wrong or don't "look" approachable. I think just being friendly and smiling is what makes someone look approachable. Approaching is hard though so maybe the guys who are into you are just nervous or haven't worked up the courage to do it. You could always try approaching them instead. There's nothing wrong with the woman making the first move. :)

I know a little trick you can try, Luci92 :) If you have a dog, try walking it along anywhere guys might show up like a dog park or esplanade along a river (Swan River is a hotspot in Perth) and let your dog run into some dude and then apologize for interrupting their afternoon constitutional and then smile and ask him if he frequents that particular park and go from there. Hope this helps as a random idea. I think you are approachable if you've been told you are smiling and bubbly, maybe guys are deterred due to your charm? I'm no relationships expert so I'm probably not much help really.

What makes a girl approachable? The girl herself. If she isn't there she is not approachable lol. Ok, more seriously, any girl is approachable. If you look friendly and smiling and bubbly then you're totally ok. Be modest and you'll attract more hearts than you know what in a man. Concerning behaviour being nice and tolerant to the least popular people shall make a boy less scared to be rejected by you. Being extroverted is also fine, just don't rush people. Smiling at everyone works to make them feel welcome to talk to you.

Approachable: She looks normal and like she would be open to a conversation, maybe she smiles! If her head is in her phone, looks angry or moody, or off, not approachable.

Make sens. e... so that is your marching orders... look normal, smile...

If you are hanging with 5 other girls, that is intimidating for some guys (even me), so you have to be ok being about on your own. The other thing would be to strike up conversation yourself... like in the grocery or what have you... just talk about nothing... where is the chocolate section.. etc.. lol.

Approachable... there's a bunch of different things;
She should be alone or with no more than one female friend, otherwise it just turns into a group conversation and I can't approach anything lol
She should be a decent conversationist, she shouldn't be too smoking hot or else the "out of my league already has a bf" mentality kicks in.
What makes me actually approach though? Tbh it's usually really hard for me to initiate an approach until I already feel like I know you since I've been around or near you for a while, BUT if for some reason you approach first I'll be happy to take the hint and play along :) . Other than that I may initiate conversation if I'm bored around you, but that happens really rarely.

I usually find someone who smiles and isn't looking at their phone 24/7 by looking at your pic you're very attractive and the first thing that comes into a lot of guys mind is she's gonna be a typical rich white girl syndrome who gets everything her way and has never been told no. Personally I don't really care if I saw you on the street is be like yeah she's gorgeous but still young and looking for a girl I can talk to and have meaningful time, if you're 17 you've gotta go through all the partying stages , I've passed all of that now. But yeah attractive , I've seen guys who were really good looking at clubs try and get a so called not so good looking girls number and the ugly girls just walked of, which I thought was quite funny, anyway the morale of that story is , if the ugly girl is doing that to a handsome guy what chance do we have with a pretty girl.

Drop the phone, look at your surroundings, if you see a guy you like give a little smile. Now if guys don't approach you in general is probably because either you're too pretty and we don't all function the same way in front of a pretty girl lol or you have some sort of "shield" like phone, tablet, beats or whatever and those have become the "don't bother me" sign.

What makes a girl approachable? pretty much if a guy smiles at you and you reply that's something that gives us confidence to approach you.

I wrote a my take yesterday and I mentioned that girls can be intimidating if they look too good.

In all honesty I wouldn't approach you if I liked you. Coz I think you're out of my league. And that's what the case with many guys, if a girl is too pretty for us then we automatically think she either has a boyfriend or woudnt date us.
