What makes you approach a girl?

What makes you approach a girl? and this is different than simply "hitting" on one. I mean like if you guys happen to be in the same environment all the time like at work, the gym, same church, etc, what usually makes you wanna approach her and makes you interested in pursuing her as more than a peer or friend? Or lets say you guys just met and yes you "hit" on her, but after talking for a bit, what makes you more interested in getting to know her even more?
Also, what stops you from approaching a girl or wanting to get to know her more?

I don't hit on them anymore because pursuing girls for relationships is a waste of time for me, but if they're close enough that they can hear me, I like to engage them in a short conversation for fun.

What stops us is easy, all the same things that stop YOU! lol Fear of rejection! Nobody likes or wants it.

Great at least you're honest... that's something I've thought of too but its like i see guys approaching other girls easily and they just work out. Could it be because I'm intimidating? As a girl, I am a little old school so I wouldn't think of approaching a guy first especially if we are hitting it off I'm just gonna wait for him to make the move. But if it's someone who I haven't been able to connect with but I have a thing for him, maybe I'll consider approaching him but I have no idea how without coming off as awkward. So that's what stops me from approaching a guy. The fear of rejection, not so much.

I never approach if a girl wants me she will approach I’m the prize if not then I stay single

Damn that's interesting but how could you tell? This could be a bad way of determining if you should approach her because how could you be so sure? What if your judgement is so off and she happens to be into you but you think she's not? or vice versa?

Well obviously there's no sure fire way of knowing, you have to take a chance. Obviously where we are matters. I know what kinda girls normally are into me as well. So that kinda helps too

Exactly you have to take a chance lol so going for the girl who you think will say yes is playing it safe don't you think? What if its someone you're into and happens to be a different type of girl? you're not gonna go for it cause she most likely won't say yes?
