Guys, do you ever regret not approaching a girl?

I used to see this guy I didn't know around my University constantly. Everytime we passed, we would make deep, intense eye contact. It pretty much became a normal, "mutual" thing, I almost felt like it was a "hello" by the end of it. The problem was that I am extremely shy and I think he may have been the same, so neither of us ever approached each other. I no longer see him and I regret not approaching him so much. I often wonder if he feels the same. Have you ever regretting not approaching a girl/guy?

There are girls I knew when I was 14-18 in HS and meeting them 50 years later I regret not having approached them back then.
I've that feeling much less about girls I met in college.

I've regretted it a number of times. You can't change the past though. I learn to live with it. Although I understand that others can't.

No cause I know why I didn't approach him and I know that if I had the opportunity to do it all over again, I would do it no differently.
