Guys, if a girl were to say, "We should talk sometime," what would you suspect?

I've had an interest in a guy at the library for a little while now. I feel like he might be interested, too, as we've locked eyes twice and he always smiles whenever we spot each other.
The other day I took an item to the front desk (this was our first real chit-chat we've had with each other). He checked it out and said, "I just watched this last week. It was my second time. Have you seen it before?"
I told him no. He said, "It's really good."
I said, "We should talk about it sometime."
He smiled and said, "Yeah we should."

Would that be perceived as flirting or just friendliness? :/

Also, when the guy said that to me, would that indicate he is interested?

I would suspect that she likes me, I mean "talking" is the code for "hey I like you". I think you did the right thing and he got the picture if he smiled. Remember it's always best to take things slow first, guard your heart (not meaning shutting yourself off from him, but keep it guarded until you know he's the right one for you).

But if all he said was, "Yeah we should," does that mean he wasn't interested?
Like, if he were interested, wouldn't he have been like, "You mean over coffee?" :/

Sometimes, us guys aren't always forward. I wasn't forward with my girlfriend for a long time. So if he's shy, he's not going to be asking you. (I know guys logic isn't very good 😂) but the focus should be trying to be friends and see how that blossoms. Trust me, it's okay to just be friends at first.

Haha. XD I think he might be shy... I'm concerned though that he might move on and date someone he works with (if he's even single at all) if I don't make a move right away. This week when I see him next and return the item, I hope to bring up a coffee-date and be like, "We should talk about movies over coffee."

Looking back you should of set up a date. He agreed. He wants to spend time with you he's probably shy. I'd go back and day hey we should get some coffee and talk about that movie. When are you free?

After I left I realized I should've said, "We should talk about it over coffee," but my mind completely went blank out of nowhere. I will be going back this week and I hope I haven't ruined my chance...
