When a guy calls you cute, is it weird to respond "you are too"?

I would not, because I always had this problem to sound desperate, but when you and this guy are tight why not. It might open possibilities to a new relationship and SOME guys expect it back, but it's sometimes us women that over - analyze things, (LIKE MYSELF) and are scared to end up in embarrassing situations.

I find that weird. If I called a girl cute, and she thought I was cute, instead of saying "you are too" and awkwardly starring at each other, I would rather have her come up close to me or something instead since we both know we find each other attractive.

It's not weird but you could say something close in meaning to it like, "I think you are sexy, handsome, gorgeous, beautiful."

To some people it could be just as bad as when someone says I love you to reply "yeah you too".
