How do I keep the conversation going with a shy guy who doesn't talk a lot?

I like this guy but thing is he is super shy and doesn't know what to say! I know he likes me but again this boy is just super shy and never had a girlfriend before. What are some good questions to keep the convo going besides the usual how was your day how was work... please help!

Super shy means he's got no cajones. Why even bother with him? Find yourself a real man like me. I'm just kidding. Starting off with a joke is always fun, but he might not laugh so that might not work. Ask him about his hobbies; compliment how you like his hair or smile or shirt. Ask him if he likes sports. Flirt with him a little; smile. The fact is if you want to go out with him, you're going to have to take the initiative. Talk about movies; ask him to go see a movie with you. In fact, Iron Man 2 was pretty awesome. Robin Hood wasn't bad either. In the end, you're going to have to give him some confidence and assurance you're not going to reject him or ridicule him or embarrass him.

I've met guys like that. Don't ask him really random questions, cause it'll seem as if you're forcing them out of you. Talk as if you're talk to your guy best friend or something you find interesting. Think about subject you guys have in common.
