You aren't really in a relationship and technically not dating. Basically you're finding out basic things before you decide whether or not you are actually interested in seeing each other more. Also a good point in time to lay down some beliefs and/or opinions about certain things(ground rules [such a girl not wishing to have sex until after a certain period of time])

The hierarchy in dating according to my location:

Meeting each other

Talking/Seeing - the difference is amount of time you two spend together.

Dating (non) /FWB/ Fun Buddies/Booty calls

Exclusive Dating(relationship)

anything afterward is clearly defined(married, engaged)

I think it is important to talk to each other in person to really see if there is chemistry there.

But if a girl if flirting with you via text, she may tease you a little. She will respond with a question or comment that will keep the texting going rather than just one line responses.

She'll be interesting in talking to you and want to keep the conversation flowing. It depends on whom you are refering to -every girl is different. But some tease and joke around. Its best to try and decipher it in person..

Girls can be confusing at points. But you really can't tell from a text if she likes you or not. Sometimes you can tell. But like if she's texting you acting all flirty.. she maybe acting on it

We're confusing. I admit it. You can't find out if she likes you via text unless your a detective. Unless she's the kind of girl who just straight up tells you that she likes you..which most girls aren't. To really find out if she likes you, you have to talk to her in person. That's the best way to find out.
