I think the reason people " accidentally" end these messages is to show the person that they talk to other people and they have lives too. When you have a boyfriend you don't wanna seem too attached to him or desperate. I sort of the new way of showing people that you're world doesn't revolve around them, sort of like letting the phone ring for a it before you answer it.

I have confessed my feelings for a crush. It really was an accident because I was sending it to a friend (who he knows) and they both have the name "Alex" in my phone.
Anyway, my crush told me I was sweet but too ugly to be his girlfriend.
we are still friends to this day because I'm too much of a loser to leave his side.

Well I have sent an unintentionally text. Pretending that it was from my friends. Telling the girl that she is hot and the first one in my messenger asking if she is my friends girl or someone he really likes.
I got the idea after my sister did that to a girl I liked in highschool and there were positive results.
