I accidentally sent a snap to my crush for the first time?

A snap I sent was a picture of music in Spotify. I explained him it was an accident and hope that he would answer with Don’t worry. In fact, he did say don’t worry but he also sent “but you have a good choice of music” So after I feel like this is the time that I could ask to follow him on Spotify. However I already have seen his Spotify profile tho his brother gave it to me but I don’t want just to follow I wanted to ask him first if I could cuz I feel music is also considered as a personal space. So I replied “we might have a same music taste” and he answered “maybe”and I replied “we could share our playlist on Spotify if you have one“. And he replied “maybe but not now“. What should I answer after his response and did I make he feel uncomfortable with this or made he feels annoyed? It made me feel he doesn’t want to continue the conversation but he was the one who started it.
P. L. he doesn’t speak English very well. He’s French so most of the time he would type in French but also sometimes he would type in English like this time he replied me. I also feel that because of he doesn’t know English that well so he chose a wrong word choice so it made me feel bad with his response?

When he said maybe but not now I answered alright 😭 i have no idea what to say so I said that and he left it on read so I assume our conversation is dead 😭 and now I don’t have any courage to text him anymore

You can restart it. Ask him what his favorite song is by the artist you sent to him. Get him engaged in the conversation. Let him tell you what bands he like. You do the same to him
