any other bands w/e

it just seems hard to find guys who share the same interest in music as me...all the guys I meet are scared by that stuff.. so what the hell...

First, lol @ the bring me the horizon joke. If it was possible to up arrow a question, I would. It's not even so much that I dislike their music (which I do), but it's that the band seems to be just full of assholes, I hate them for that reason.

Just listen to what you like to listen to. Don't worry what scares people, they just simply don't understand the music. Don't worry what the people below said either about the music. It's your choice one what to listen to and like, it's your taste. I don't enjoy listening to deathcore by any means, but I'm not going to start bashing it because of that, it's completely pointless.

As far as finding guys who listen to the same music you do, that may be hard, but think about how hard it is for us guys to find a -girl- who likes metal. There are very few and very far in between. Just don't stop looking for someone compatible, and I'm sure they will come along, that's what I'm doing.

Oh, also give some melodic death metal a try =). Bands like In Flames (old albums, Jester Race, Colony, Whoracle, etc), Dark Tranquility, At the Gates, The Absence, Arsis, etc etc.

Whitechapel, Cradle of Filth, and Slipknot are absolute sh*t. Of all of those bands Children of Bodom is the only great one. Deathcore sucks, unless it's blended with death metal (To get stuff like Circle of Dead Children). Lol. Why would any guy be scarred of all the mainstream mallcore crap you just listed? Oh well. At least you could see that BMTH is sh*t.

It can definitely be intimidating for a guy. It all depends on your image. Obviously if you're looking for a likeminded guy you shouldn't have any trouble attracting one. If you're looking to date outside the metalhead/deathmetalhead walk of life then consider how you're coming across in first meetings.

If you don't want to scare guys off take a more careful approach. Let them get to know you as a person, rather than showcasing your hardcore metal personality. The craziest metalhead girl I've ever dated actually turned out to be the most loving/sweethearted/affectionate girl I've ever dated, and I only found this out because she didn't enter our first date guns blazing, I got to know her personal side more. If she had just rode the deathmetal horse to the date I would have run screaming thinking she was a nut, not because I can't handle the music or don't like the bands, but because my natural response would have been "Oh dear, he comes another chaotic girl with issues. No thanks. "

Some other deathcore bands to check out would be Attila, Suicide Silence, Motionless in White, and Thy Art is Murder.

Suicide Silence is my personal favorite band of all time.
They also came up with YOLO way before Drake.
