And are basically just at school to study? There's a girl that I'm starting to like in my med school, but the problem is that she has the mindset that she's just there to study, boys come later, so she gathered around three other girls with the same mindset and just hangs out with them during class or lab, so I'm not sure what I can do. I tried smiling at her a couple times, and one time she smiled back, but the others she either looked away before she could see me smile or just ignored it.

But honestly, it's med school, it's hard. Maybe she needs the extra time to study and get her work done. My friend is in med school and she's focused solely on that, she wouldn't throw all that away because of boy distractions.

You don't. If they are commited to their studies then no boy in the world will dislodge them from trying to better themselves. Just admire then from afar -- they are awesome. :)

Well, the thing is, I'm like that, too---I'm a very serious student. I just thought that since we shared those similar traits, she might like me/something might be there.
