At the end of the day regardless of what kind of guy he is, shy guy/ bad boy/ mummies boy/ Mr confidence/ nerd ETC.

If he wants you HE WILL CALL or HE WILL INITIATE CONTACT even if its just a text saying "hey how are you?"

So if he doesn't make the effort, he's just not that into you?

If he is genuinly interested in you, then yes, he probably will go out of his way to initiate conversation with you via whatever means of communication he feels most comfortable with. I prefer texting, because I can't stand being on the phone at all; I just don't like awkward silences and forced conversation.

On the other hand, some shy guys can be a total wimp around girls and actually never bother calling her because they are too nervous about their ability to entertain a girl or keep them interested.

With the girl I'm currently courting, I'm usually the one initiating conversation, but she always responds to it well and she says she loves the amount of attention I give her. I've even said to her before that I didn't wanna smother her with too much attention, and she said that she likes the fact that I understand the too much attention can be a bad thing theory.

Maybe. It depends on how conversations in person go. If she seems interested (as in, in the conversation, not in me), then I'd probably be likely to initiate contact with her at the end of the day. If she seems like she's desperate to be somewhere else, then I'm probably not going to bother.

If she's playing hard to get, then I'm also not going to bother, because that pretty much invalidates her from being girlfriend material.

i kind of think the girl has to show at least some interest... I mean if she ignores him/wont talk to him, I don't think a guy should really be expected to make an effort even if he really liked the girl
