My new guy friend sent me snaps of his muscles through snapchat and teases me, but then when I plainly tell him he looks good and stuff like that, he unacknowledges it and somehow changes the subject. But he doesn't seem creeped out by my obvious flirting. What does this mean? Does he just think of me as a friend and is he not interested?

And he opens my snapchats REALLY fast. He initiates convo most of the time

I'll try to list a few possible things he might be thinking/doing in no particular order:

1. Showing off. He could be looking for what others think of his looks and trusts you for your opinion. Maybe he enjoys showing off what he's got with no particular agenda.

2. Afraid of possible rejection. Second guessing yourself happens to the best of us. Could be ok with showing a picture of muscles but avoiding the possibility of being shot down if he sends out anything more than that. Maybe this 'is' his way of flirting and either waiting for a big move from you or he gets more comfortable to try it himself.

As it stands right now. I'd say you are awesome friend to talk and show off to. As for the 'not interested' part, it's not 100% clear but it does point that he is interested. You can try bridging that gap yourself if that's what you'd like.

I think he's seeing me in a friendly way, but I honestly can't tell because he asked if I can go get lunch with him today. And he does answer my messages super quickly. The moment I send him a Snapchat, he opened it fast

Asking to go to lunch with you certainly means he is at least friendly and wouldn't mind your company.

I personally don't want anything serious, but I want to casually date him.
I'm not sure if he's interested in me in that way though, but it just doesn't feel completely platonic since he sends me pictures of his muscles and I am physically attracted to him

Trying to share your thoughts on relationships with someone you like can be scary to face. Stay strong out there!

If the topic of what's happening between you two comes up (or if you'd like to get in the open and cleared asap), you can be honest and say something along the lines, "Hey, just to let you know, I really enjoy hanging out with you. I'm not quite ready for anything serious but I still enjoy going on dates with you."

This can be very hard to say so there is no need to force yourself to say it if your not ready. There is always the chance he might not share the same feelings back after hearing this. If that's the case, it's going to happen regardless and it's best to clear it now before he take a big step himself you might not be ready for.
