Only girl in my class... What to expect?

First year University student in a all male trade, orientation is tomorrow. What can I expect from the guys?

I'm the only girl in some of my classes and honestly I don't like it at all.

During the first days you'll probably get hit on a lot, after that they will probably mostly try to treat you like one of the guys, but you will always get a little extra attention.

Idk what classes you are taking, but I suppose they'll be tech related so I'd expect a lot of the guys being a bit nerdy.

The reason I don't like it, is that I always kinda feel like I don't really fit in Chances are they talk about topics you can't really relate to, and do things you don't really want to do.

I'm a double major, civil engineering/economy so I have some classes that are girl dominated too, and I feel that those are very diffrent from the ones with almost only guys. I mean I love my major but being in those classes felt so awkward at first.They certainley are diffrent from high school and liberal arts classes.I find that they are not so much fun, but that's just me.The first day I just tought 'oh my goodess I don't belong here'. It gets a lot better tho if there are at least 1 or 2 other girls.

Attention, checking you out. Probably treat you the same unless you act weird, purposely try to show them up because you are a girl, etc. Just be yourself and they'll treat you like one of the guys.

i didn't know there were any all male trades these days! Mostly male, maybe, but the guys won't be surprised when you show up. Don't worry about it! They may kid you a little but no one will be upset you're there.

Lots of attention, take a stick to throw, give them something to chase or just to poke them if they get to excited...

You own it being the only girl. Show every guy there that you're just as good as them. Expect teasing.
