At what age did you "grow into yourself" and start to feel pretty or handsome?

I feel like I was a bit of a late bloomer. My friends were all really pretty and always had cute hair cuts, cute clothes and knew how to wear makeup.. and I on the other hand was awkward, didn't really care about my hair or makeup and figured I'd worry about that stuff later in life. So at 20, I am really just NOW starting to let go of my insecurities and appreciate myself for what I am and what I look like. I've stopped comparing myself to others and I am becoming very comfortable with my looks.

So did anyone have a time in life where they sort of came to accept and like themselves physically as well?

Yes and no, then yes again lol

This is kind of a cycle, just when you are completely comfortable with "everything" you find out there is more stuff your not comfortable with... Which makes you "uncomfortable" once you solve all that, you find more stuff lol

I completed the first cycle when I was 16 and was, in my mind, completely comfortable with "everything" So right now in my 30's I believe maybe I have reached that zen like state of enlightenment where maybe, and it's a big maybe... I am good with everything, but I had a lot of those cycles to suspect it's not finished lol

It's kind of like one of those old nintendo games where you beat wave after wave of insecurities to get to another level of the same thing... The sucky part is there's just no ending lol Hope this helps

probably like 14 or 15. I got rid of my baby fat and got a six pack, I filled out a lot with muscle, my jaw started looking stronger and squarer and I learned how to carry myself so people would like to be around me. I learned how to talk to girls, had my first ral relationship and breakup. did a sh*t lad of pushups, filled out a little more. and now I figured out I look good and who gives a sh*t about the people who think I don't. I love myself as conceited as it sounds, but it's true and that lets others love me too when I let myself be loved.

I startd to grow up when I was sixteen & developed higher self esteem at that time as well. Every year since then I have grown a little more & understand who I am just a little better. I believe there is no 1 point where we stop learning & growing. I believe we can grow & learn our entire lives.

i started feeling pretty at 12, developing a style around 14, beautiful at around 16 - I think, & comfortable -with everything kind of blending nicely- around- now lol (19)

Yeah you look good :) for me it was as soon as I started uni (6 years ag0). On one of my first nights out this girl literally pulled me out of the club begging me to come back to her house. Then a few weeks later I met my first girlfriend and she was the same. Having just come out of geeky nerdyness at school, this was a new revelation to me. I was like 'I can get girls!' lol I didn't have any success whatsoever with girls at school, so it was a huge relief to know that I actually could.

I'd say it was around 19 or 20. My "freshman 15" ended up being a loss of about 20lbs, which was enough to get rid of the awkward chubby kid self-image I had in high school. Apparently being broke all the time is a really effective way to lose weight.

I guess it was when I noticed girls frequently started getting interested in me as more then just a friend that made me realise, hey I'm not bad looking and eventually that feeling of being desired just wrubbed off on me to the point I started being more happy with the way I look and now I don't require other people to feel that I am good looking.

Guess it was around 20-21 when it happened.

I never really seen myself as handsome or attractive. I used to think my nose was extreamly mishappend and that everybody was gonna make fun of me. I don't really care about it anymore but I still don't view myself as attractive.
