When did you realize you were beautiful/attractive?

Especially if you used to think you were ugly... I went back and forth with thinking I was pretty and ugly. I'm still not sure why I didn't have much confidence in myself honestly. I knew some guys had crushes on me, I saw the way some looked at me yet I was still completely oblivious. I think it took further into high school to the beginning of college to realize. I thought back on all the times guys either had the courage to talk to me, and when my friends told me they thought I was pretty. I also realized that the reason I probably got so much indirect/subtle hate was because of it and guys that girls thought were cute, voicing their attraction to me. I just never excepted or realized it because I got in my own head, but also because only maybe 3 guys asked me out and one was close to doing so.

So cheers to the people that realized their beauty without others/ validation from others. If you don't realize your beautiful yet I hope you do soon.

quite recently actually , probably some time in the past year.
i stopped caring what my family say (since I'm on the bigger side) and just accepted myself for who I am. i learnt that i need to be confident on the inside to love who i am on the outside
so i worked on that and stopped comparing myself to other people, there's something about loving yourself which is so empowering.
i like to focus on my mindset and then my body and because the way you look changes all the time.
now that i finally am confident in myself, i can change my body for the better and love myself throughout the journey :)

I have a hard time with the concept of beauty, because it is subjective. In one country I can be the ideal woman, but in others I am considered ugly. It is weird because I don't find anyone of the female or male to be beautiful either. I think different people have beautiful features, but usually I only think this about people I know. It is usually because I like them as person that I can see the beauty in them. With all that being said, I do think of myself as a beautiful person, because of who I am on the inside. My outside is cute, but I don't really obsess over exterior beauty because it is fleeting.

A guy once told me I was "beautiful" in an open forum. I didn't take that seriously because I was second-guessing back then.

I despise being criticized solely based on looks. I'd rather have my insights questioned than having my looks treated as a laughingstock.

I was a junior on high school, 16 years old. I was getting constant attention and people would talk about me and say: "OMG, she's really pretty!"

Lol I knew since I was around five years old. My parents told me that I've been getting compliments about my looks since I was a baby. I remember being five years old and getting compliments about my looks. It's when I had a sense of self and realized the difference between ugly, plain, and beautiful.

I think when I got contacts and some girls didn't even recognize me. This one lady I worked with said I went Hollywood. (ha ha) The irony is: I find glasses highly attractive on a woman. One time my wife got new glasses and... well let's just say I liked them a lot.

for me, attractiveness is not a constant state. some days, i look bad. some days i look good. so overall, it just averages out.

I was 20 or so, in a club, this girl walks out to me and slaps me on the ass and pinches my cheeks. back then I had some doubts, just immigrated to Canada recently the whole cultural shock and all.
