A friend told me she thought I was a self-centered prick when we first met but through time (a long time) realized I was one of the most amazing human beings she's ever met. Smart, beautiful, funny, beautiful, kind and humble. I've never had a bad first impression of someone I just met but in a lot of cases, I will develop a dislike for people. Do any of you have a similar story?

A good friend of mine told me years after meeting her that when she first met me she though I was very intimidating and that she was scared to talk to me.
Everyone knew me, I was fat, I was strong, I had a loud voice and laugh and people never picked a fight with me and the one time someone did they were on the ground in no time.
She didn't know what to think or how to act around me for the first few weeks.
That was until she saw two of her friends sit next to me, having a drink together, smiling and laughing.
Then she started talking to me and her entire view of me changed.
"I then saw that you're actually a big teddy bear and only a grizzly when people treat you or the people you care about wrongly, you immediately treated me like a little sister and I felt safe"
That's a really good example. The girl I'm talking about, mostly thought I was a smart ass and to be honest, I can be. I wasn't rude to her but made comments to her friends, that I was already friends with and she was really turned off by it. Then after seeing each other on a semi regular basis, she actually thought deep down I was just a kidder and actually a nice person.
Hi, Waldo, I just answered a similar question. I don’t think anybody had a “bad” impression of me but more of a “wrong” impression. I come across as a very serious person when I don’t know you that well and people thought I was boring and no fun. Later they told me they were surprised that I can be fun and have a sense of humor, they just had to bring it out of me.
I still think you're as boring as watching paint dry but you're a nice girl.
And don't fucking call me Waldo, Rebecca.
OOPS! Sorry, Waldo😂 You can call me Rebecca, I don’t care. You need to lighten up mister…. lol
Oh, nice! Now you're calling me fat? We all can't have a sexy body like you! You body shamer!!
😂😂 You’re beautiful! That reminds me of a joke! “Isn’t it funny, how at night when she lays her head on your belly, she says how cute and sexy it is but the next day when you argue, she calls you a fat prick”? Ha Ha…. see, I am funny!
Okay, that did actually make me crack a smile.
