How do you respond to a winky face?

So I've been casually talking to this guy recently and I'm not much of a text-er. It starts with a good morning, hope your day goes well and like I miss you. And when I respond to his text he always responds back with a wink emoji. I'm not exaggerating, at the end of every text convo he responds to with a wink emoji. And I'm not much of an emoji person to short hand text. I really don't know what to do? How do I respond to a wink face? Does it really mean anything in particular?
