If a girl you're sort of friends with, but not close...you used to date texted you "Hey there ;)" with nothing else after it would you respond and would you think she is flirting with you and likes you?

I didn't think much of it except she might be a little interested to leave 5 kisses, and when they leave winks, I don't always think much of it but sometimes do...

Please explain your intentions.

My answer is he probably thinks you kind of like him for 1) texting first (I assume?) and 2) using a wink when you text first, but he probably thinks little to nothing of it.

Well in your case, I think she definitely is flirting with you. My intentions are because this guy recently contacted me again and we hung out, our mutual friend told me he likes me...but when I saw him I was so nervous that I didn't really flirt with him, and I kinda wanna make up for that by sending a flirty text do you think I need to say a little more?

Yeah I'd probably think you had a thing for me, but yes, do what the dude below me said and add the "xxxxx" or at least something like it. If I saw that in a text I'd definitely make a move if I was interested.
