I want to wear a beanie. How can I avoid looking stupid?

I want to wear a beanie. I'm a girl and I have shoulder length hair, so I do NOT want to have flat hair when I take my beanie off because at my school they make us take it off inside the classroom. What can I do to avoid not getting hat hair?

use volume shampoo? lol that's what I use and when I wear a beanie all day and take it off it still looks puffy lol..or take a comb and tease it a lil? :)
