How can I make it obvious I like him?

So there’s this guy who very obviously likes me, all my friends say he does, but unfortunately he has some shyness and he stares at me more than he actually talks to me, but he texts me all the time and when we’re alone he talks to me confidently. So I’ve noticed that sometimes he’ll talk to my friends in order to talk to me because he’s too shy to start the convo with me directly. How can i make it obvious i like him? I really want to date him but first i want to hardcore flirt with him so he knows whats up.

I prefer direct but you can stare back at him. Catch his eye and smile- hair toss- all those classic signs. When you are alone you can lean in, sit slightly too close or really go for it and put your hand on his thigh- he might freak or freeze though... Of course, flirty texts is a great start (but if you are coy for too long he might just get super confused and over analyze it)
