I know he likes me and I like him too... but he is too shy to make a move, even though he is over 35.. he has some traumatic experience due to the previous relationships and marriage, so he takes his time to make a move. But I have deep feelings for him, we have known each other for 4 years. But we became friends 7 months ago and I started developing feelings for him. I can easily communicate with him, he never makes me feel alienated, he is always so sincere and friendly towards me. I would like to take the courage to show him I have feelings for him without creeping him. Can you help me please? :)
Anonymous(18-24)+1 yI was 15 and my mother asked me to bring to the new neighbour his post that had been delivered by mistake. So I went over and he was working out shirtless in his garage. He was 29 6fr4 pure sweat and muscles in front of me, I gulped and I swear my vsgina gulped too, I couldn't speak and just hadn't him his letters and ran. I'd never really had sexual feelings before but that's when the wet dreams started. I'd constantly be watching for him out of the windows or in our garden and when I saw him I got that aroused feeling. He is well educated, handsome snd makes good money. He's also very kind and funny but very masculine. I would later marry him. I was young and we had talked but he always treated me like a kid. So one night I decided to let him know I was intrested and that I was a woman and not the little girl people thought I was because I was so short. So as he went to bed one night I crept into my parents bedroom who were out, waved to him so he could see me and he waved back. I took off my dressing gown to reveal I was fully naked, turned around so he could see my ass as well and just looked at him and smiled shyly. I couldn't really see hi reaction to me because the lights were on I'm my parents bedroom and his lights were off but he didn't look away. I heard my parents come home so I turned off the bedroom lights put by dressing gown on and walked out of there waving and smiling. as I went. It worked, things had definitely changed between he and I, he no longer treated me like a little school girl but as a woman and I would often catch him checking me out. A year later we were married.

Asker+1 yOk... but so what do you think I should be doing then?
Opinion Owner+1 yGuys think with their genitals so if your dropping hints they will probably go over his head. If you want to let him know your intrested show him your bare breasts

+1 yHi! :) The good thing here is that there is a sense of familiarity between the two of you already. Plus, you’re friends. Believe in the foundation of that friendship and be honest with him. No games, no frills, try to just sincerely express how you feel. 👌🏻

Asker+1 yHow lovely are you!!! :) I am so scared, you know!!! Even though the feelings are there, i am still so scared... do you think I should just open up and tell him how I feel... or slowly give him a hint that I have feelings for him? How should I open up? I would like to do it gently, you know... if I just tell him I am in love or something similar, he may possibly freak out... can you please tell me how? :)
The signal?
Guys, ladies.. I thought we agreed that we live in a 50 50 world now. Women are equal to men and there's no such thing as gender roles. I thought that's the game we're playing? Can some of you females act like you believe in what your grandmother's fought and died for?
Why should he make the move? Why can't you? Why do we play gender specific roles when it suits us ladies? The hypocrisy is ridiculous.
Kind regards,

Asker+1 yLove your comment!!! You are so right! I wish every man would have the same point of view and give us women more courage to move forward and let us speak out loud 🙏
- +1 y
Actually, it's not men's fault if women don't expect to make the first move. I mean, practically every guy would love to live in a world where they're not expected to make the first move just "becuase they're men, and that's what men do".
The real issue of nowadays society is the toxic masculinity, that is basically become a standard in today's world. It imposes women to "do what women do" (cleaning the house, taking care of children, be extremely demure regarding sex... and so on) BUT also imposes men to "do what men do" (approaching, taking risks, never cry or show emotions, aim to 6 figure salaries... and so on).
This is obviously an antiquate (to say least) view of gender roles because, of course, there's no such thing as gender roles in reality. But i only see we're fighting for women's right to be free from these roles, and never see fights in order to free men from such roles too.
So... no, it's not men fault if women don't approach guys or make first moves with guys. The only case in which this is true is when the man is really conservative and bond to masculinity. Otherwise, it's society's fault, not men's fault. - +1 y
I want to specify that fighting for women's right is totally right also due to the fact that women have suffered (and still suffer) due to masculinity.
But let's not forget that tons of guys are suffering for that too. See Johnny Depp's case, just to cite one.
Anyway, if you'll have the courage to approach this guy, then you'll have my total respect!

+1 yYou use your words and tell him.
Men don't view flirting as creepy, and we think its dumb that women do.14 Reply
Asker+1 yHe is the same age as you! What if one of your girl friends came and told you that they had feelings for you? What would your reaction be? I mean, I really want to get close to him... do you think it would be strange to tell him I want to see him more often? *
- +1 y
Thats happened before a bunch of times, I just explained to them what I was looking for in a wife, and they understood they weren't a match.
- +1 y
If a girl who was a match did it though, I'd accept her advances.
Asker+1 yI think I could be a match:) I will give it a go! Thank you 🙂🙏

The fact that you even hang out with him and enjoy his company he should know your feelings for him and he should be the one taking the first move. Just wait for him to figure it out. Maybe act playful with him, but don’t excuse his traumas as a way to not pursue you if he truly wants to also

Asker+1 yWell I have been told I haven't made myself clear about my intentions and feelings. That's why he is still unsure whether he should make a move or not. How can I act playful? Can you give me tips please? :)*
Asker+1 yThank you so much for such wonderful suggestions!! 🙏🙏🙂
- +1 y
@spartan55 the point being here is he shouldn’t be using his traumas as an excuse to not properly pursue relationships correctly either.
- +1 y
@kylee2437
I agree with that, except the 'properly pursue' part. Why would he do that when all she is doing is showing up, and doing nothing to show she is interested? She claims she can communicate with him easily, so what's the problem?
by the way, haven't we had this battle before? 😁 - +1 y
@spartan55 lmfao! Maybe we have. But anyways clearly he makes it difficult to get the process going since he obviously has some kind of interest but prolongs milestones. I don't know maybe it’s just me but I friend zoned a guy because he was basically like “girls always make the first move on Me” like okay your pride is so high to the point where you can’t put yourself in vulnerable positions first? Turn off.
- +1 y
@kylee2437
Not sure what you mean by prolonging milestones? - +1 y
@spartan55 making a first move and providing her with substance to open up. Guy I’m currently talking to, I kissed him first but he provided behaviors to make me feel comfortable enough to do so
Asker+1 y@spartan55 well first is first he never told me he had traumatic experiences with lades, I heard it from other people. ... well what do you mean by "do your part"? :)
- +1 y
@kylee2437
I'll circle back to her showing him interest. I don't know if that is the issue holding him back, he might have some other issues in the way. However, she can (and should) control showing him interest, whereas she cannot control his issues. - +1 y
@spartan55 very true but she also shouldn’t settle and confess her feelings to a man that hasn’t put himself out there enough to make her feel confident enough to make those moves.
Asker+1 y@spartan55 :) please tell me how I can trilyon show him interest? Can I ask him out for coffee or invite myself to go out with him? Can I give hık compliments? Can I give him presents out of the blue for no reason?
- +1 y
@kylee2437
I agree, it cuts both ways.
+1 yJust tell him. Because really what’s flirting for someone isn’t for someone else. He might not catch onto it.
Also fear of rejection I understand. But see it this way. If you were to be rejected. You have closure number one and two you're not wasting your time on someone who isn’t even into you and will never make a move.30 Reply- 3.2K opinions shared on Relationships topic.
+1 yWhy not invite him over for dinner at your place? That will give him the opportunity to open up about how he feels about you, and you will be letting him know that you like him.
20 Reply If you're sure he likes you too it will be very hard to creep him lol.
He, like most of us, will be reluctant to mistake friendliness foe flirting, so you may have to make it really fkn obvious.
Be a little touchy, let him see you smile. Apparently it's mostrously sexist nowadays to enjoy a woman's smile, but it really does help set our minds at ease.13 Reply
Asker+1 yDo guys really not understand when someone has feelings for them? 🙂

Well, the easiest way to do it is just to come right out and tell him that you like him. All other methods are going to cause extra hassle and headache and confusion and consternation.

The best thing with women, is to let him know that you see him but that you're not desp. We're more attracted to women who aren't clinging all over us, than the ones who are
Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yIt's interesting to me that you KNOW everything here except what to say. 😆😆😆

Asker+1 yI think I know him well... but I dont know what to tell him and how🙈 please help me:)
Opinion Owner+1 yWell if you know him well you know what to say. No one can advise you better than you in this dept, as you're the closest one to it.
I will say this though. Something doesn't add up to me. You say he's had bad experiences with women that makes him gun shy so to speak. But he's very respectful and what not to you. I don't fully believe this. I mean, either you're a really understanding person or you're completely fabricating this in your head because you like him (this is not an insult towards you. We all do it when we like someone). I have a hard time believing he's that damaged if "know he likes you". He clearly would have done something to demonstrate that. And if that were the case I have a hard time believing you'd be this conflicymymted about making "the move". It sounds to me like YOU'RE the one who's afraid of what the answer might be. Believe me I want to help. But I can't help if I really don't get a better sense of what the problem actually is.
+1 ya light touch here or there, moving closer in certain situations, or just a glance in a crowded room speaks volumes.
