Does he like me? How to give him subtle sign to make a move?

I've met this guy three months ago and we hang with few more friends 1-2 times a week sometimes. At first he tried to get my attention and he would be kinda mean torwards me if I would "ignore" him. We would stare and smile at each other, but when we would be close to each other it was really awkward. I added him than his friend on fb after some time and they both accepted. After some time I followed him on ig and he ignored. Next day I was walking and saw them and they saw me and ignored both (on purpose i think). Next day I send text to his friend like why they did it and they were so sorry and stuff. After that he was different. He suddenly started to stand really close to me, always offer help and be more engaged to talk to me. Few days ago I did something for him and his friend and they didn't expected that and yesterday when we were hanging he offered that to do for me out of blue. Now we have each other numbers, following each other on ig and fb but only talk on group chat.

He's great guy and but I'm not sure if he's really interested. We've never alone and we don't text. I don't want to make it awkward in group if he doesn't like me that way.

How to make it subtle to him that he can figure it out? I know guys are bad at figuring signs and analyzing stuff..

Why don’t you tell him that you are interested? Or try initiating a text convo, then steer it towards a one on one outing? Nothing is wrong with taking the reins, I’ve done so before, and I’m the shyest person you’d know lol. I would advise you to be careful though. This guy in particular was actually in a friend group I had been hanging out with for about 3 years before we started dating. When we broke up, it’s like a lot of the group broke up with me too, which was weird bc I was friends with them first. Anyway, it’s a risk, so be mindful of it when or if you make a move.

I know that is risk but we are all kinda new.. us 4 hang usually (sometimes come few more people but they are just acquaintances) - my brother, me, him and his really good friend.

I think you should go for it, honestly! Trust me, I understand having bad past experience, but you can’t let that hold you back. You shouldn’t want it to! Here you have a great opportunity at a match, and I think you’d be very bummed if he found someone else because he didn’t know you were interested. You have nothing to lose! The worst he can do is say no and that would suck but it won’t break you. You don’t have to make a choice today, but I do hope you consider it💛
